Excellent. if one ignores the fact that the story is not completely original and based on reality, it is awesome. Great read.

Was Ok. A little too slow. Quite a few loose ends. But the never-give-up attitude of the main protagonists leaves u in awe. The business they run, the games they play and the risks they take, n the consequences of their actions...everything is BIG

Like Kane and Abel, but with information media, but nowhere as good. Overall read, though, its well thought out, and passes the time well.

This book writing is based a lot on life of Robert Maxwell (Lubji) and Rupert Murdoch (Keith Townsend). At first I thought I am reading a biography of these two people.

This seemed to follow the storyline of Kane and Abel so much that I didn't even finish it. He has since redeemed himself.

I had high expectations from Sir Jeffery Archer. Especially after reading Kane and Abel, Not a penny more not a penny less and Shall we tell the President? But I guess that happens with all the authors. They cannot have all great books.

This story has all the typical aspects of Jeffery Archer novel, two protagonists, rags to riches, thirst for money, precise planning, et el.

But i guess those are precisely the points that make the novel a bit boring.

Well, some people might like it.

The typical Archer plot- two people growing up at different spots of the earth, one in privilege, one in absolute despair. Both are pushed to relative plights, and both manage to come out with flying colors. And both have ambition- the raw male ambition to conquer everything you see and then each other. This ambition is the feature of this book and certainly well portrayed- but it is not enough to make it a great read. Easy storytelling, almost like a biography. In fact, the similarities with the Murdoch- Maxwell drama are striking.
A good one if you are feeling bored.
