While this is classified as another Jane Rizzoli book, it really centers more on Medical Examiner Maura Isles, who returns from a trip to France to discover a rather unpleasant thing--someone who looks like her twin has been murdered in her driveway. This sets off a search for a mass murderer...

A woman is found shot to death outside Boston Medical Examiner Maura Isles' home. Everyone is shocked when they see she is a dead ringer for Dr. Isles. Even more shocking is the fact that they share the same blood type and birth date. Maura, an only child, is stunned when DNA tests confirm that the murdered woman is her twin sister. This book was very hard to put down. As always, Tess Gerritsen delivers a great mystery with a twist at the end. My rating: 5 Stars.

This book was the first book by Tess Gerritsen I had ever read. I couldn't put it down and when I finished it, I went on line to Amazon and looked up every book she had written. I ordered them all and enjoyed every one of them. Waiting for her a new one from her - she skipped this year. Highly recommended. Be sure to read them in sequence if you can.

Read this book first. I was not aware that it is part of a series. Interesting and full of suspense. I plan on reading the other books in this series.

A murder mystery, great for the beach or train, with interesting characters and a few unexpected twists along the way. Although I rarely read mysteries, it was fun to get back into this genre with Body Double. Having the main character be a medical examiner added a lot of authenticity to the search for the murderer, which is an issue I have with most mysteries.
