In this book, a king wants to give the queen a bed for her birthday. The King orders the carpenter to make the bed with the specifications he measured with his large, king foot. When the carpenter makes it, he uses his small carpenter feet. Not surprisingly, the bed does not fit. They have to come to an agreement about what size a "foot" is in order for the bed to fit perfectly.
