When you have authors like Dan Brown leading the New York Times best seller list, you realize how far we've fallen.” see full review » see other reviews » |

I did enjoy this book and learned a lot about the development of the various countries in the Carribean and the history of the population there. Carribean is as good a read as Hawaii, Centennial, Texas, and other books Michener wrote. ”

The only thing I remembered as soon as I closed the book and what I remember to this day is the fact that pirates have gold earrings to pay for their funeral.
I am not a Michener fan. It is me. I would recommend this book to anyone willing to give it a go. ”
“A great epic historical novel of the Caribbean islands”

It's fascinating!”
