Good over all! A bit sad for me but situations like what the main character is in are very real and very sad!

I. Hated. This. Book.

It's one of the few in my entire life that I've ever put down. I couldn't even stand to finish it! Dreamland follows a girl named Caitlin whose older, more talented sister runs away, so she finds comfort in a boy who has a "dark and troubled past." Rogerson, the...

Dreamland was a very sad book. This girls older sister runs away and to live with her bf. The younger sister left behind is devastated. So she goes out to find a boyfriend that beats her. She meets lots of new people...but how many of them can she trust?.....This was a good book, but very sad!

I first heard about this book from friends that have read other books by the same author. In the beginning of the book, a girl named Catlin finds that her older sister who they call Cass has left home to be with her boyfriend. At first her parents are so cought up in this that they almost forget about Catlin. During this time Catlin meets a boy named Rogerson who she eventually falls in love with.
She cannot stop thinking about him, but one day something really bad happens. While driving her home, Rogerson hits Catlin. Overcome with shock Catlin tries not to think about it. But as the book goes on, he continues to hit her. In the end he gets cought and Catlin is reunited with her sister.
At first I was hesetant to read this book because it had very serious topics in it. But now that i've read it i am very glad that I did. I look foward to reading more books by this author because these books can teach important lessons.
