In this very short, quick read, Raquel is struck and killed by a car. Whether her was a suicide, a misstep, reckless driving, an unintentional bump, or a tragic accident is questioned, but the heart of the book isn't her death, it's Raquel's life. She was almost 15, overweight and an outcast at school. But she was much more than what the teachers and kids at school thought.
