It's dark, it's gruesome, it's blood-pumping, and it tastes like curry.

    Creepy and vivid.

A fascinating glimpse into a very different society and the lives of women whose lives are constrained by social that severely limit there choices. This novel contains graphic violence and brutality. It is not for the squeamish. All the friends that I have lent it to have found it as interesting as I did.

An accidental death sets a crime spree in motion. The accomplices: women who work in a box lunch factory in Japan. This book will make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. The book is a translation from Japanese.

One of the best thrillers I've ever read. Pretty gruesome though, not for the faint of heart.

    Gritty, lower class Tokyo.
An order of magnitude better than Grotesque, which
    followed this book

Masako takes you past where you thought you could go. Excellent pacing.
