Feast of Snakes is so good is hurts. For anyone not living in someplace like Mystic, GA, I can tell you that real life in places like this can be much worse than even the novel depicts!

I actually had a hard time giving this one a single star. Having lived in South among other such rednecks, I worked very hard to remove myself from shortsighted characters of this type. People who did not grow up in the rural South would likely find this book interesting, I did not. The single star is for the author's craft in capturing the mentality accurately. I'm sorry I took the time to read it.
