Scot McKnight challenges us to look again at the simple, but very challenging call of Jesus: Love God and love others. In a world where Christians seem as caught up as everyone else in retribution, war, and the demonization of others, McKnight rightly points out that All People are created in the image of God, All People are redeemable, and Jesus' call to love God cannot be satisfied if we fail to love those created in God's image.

Frustrating book. I agree with the premise and thesis by and large, but the way it is presented just feels like a thin premise spread out over a bunch of recycled sermons. I believe that Mr. McKnight has a potentially life and world changing idea here--this book fails to convince.
