Have you ever wondered why, with the exact laws of nature there are still people born with diabetes? This book answers that question (hint: back "in the day" it was actually [probably] something that assured survival until reproductive age), and many others. Can you rust to death? Yes. Can...

Have you ever wondered why, with the exact laws of nature there are still people born with diabetes? This book answers that question (hint: back "in the day" it was actually [probably] something that assured survival until reproductive age), and many others. Can you rust to death? Yes. Can sunglasses cause sunburn? You betcha! This is a great book for people like me who are interested in genetics but "don't speak the language" beyond the basics. It reads like a novel and has many "VIOLA!" moments. Highly recommended!

very interesting book, to know that sometimes sick is also useful partucularly in evolving a better human race.even a reader who doesn't have an any idea on genetics also understand the subject. credit goes to the writer in making the reader completes the book in a single sitting.

This is a truly ground breaking work.

The book deals with evolutionary medicine. If you don't know what that means (like I didn't before I read this book) that's ok. We all at least know what "ground breaking" means :-)

For the next two or three decades, several more good books are going to come out, taking off where this one had left.

I see books of such monumental importance may be once in 10 years or so. Everytime in the past I'd come across such a valuable work, it was never on the "best seller" list. Like they say, truly historical events never make it to the fornt page of a news paper.

By the way, the writing style... oh what a style!

Best book read so far on the facts about some diseases and why these diseases are still there in the gene pool. Everybody who is into Life Sciences should read this book.
