• Jessica Wakefield: The younger half of the Wakefield twins by 4 minutes. She is the scheming and fun-loving twin of Elizabeth Wakefield. She is a member of the Unicorn Club and loves being the center of attention.
• Elizabeth Wakefield: The older twin. She is serious, responsible and nice to everyone. She loves to write and read mysteries.
• Steven Wakefield: The twins' older brother. He is in ninth grade and goes to Sweet Valley High.
• Janet Howell: An eight grader. She is the sister of Joe Howell. She is also the president of the Unicorn Club.
• Joe Howell: Janet's older brother and Steven Wakefield's best friend. He's also in ninth grade and goes to SVH with Steven.
• Cathy Connors: Steven and Joe's friend from SVH.

• Unicorn Club: A group of girls from SVMS who think they are the most beautiful, popular and important people in school. These girls wear something purple, the color of royalty, everyday to remind everyone how special they are. Their common interests are: celebrities, boys, and make-up. They love to gossip about other people when they are all together, which is most of the time.
