“This book is amazing. As a thankful wife to a wonderful man, I knew that I wanted to incorporate focused prayer into my life. This book covers so many aspects of my relationship with my husband. I love how the first (and longest) chapter is actually a prayer that I become a good wife to my husband. Starting out this prayer journey by asking God to change MY heart, MY reactions, MY words made all the difference. This book is not about praying for your husband to change into whatever you want him to be - it is about asking God to work His plan in your husband's life and allowing your husband to be receptive to God's workings. Certain chapters of the book were less applicable to my husband than others. For example, my husband does not struggle with any addictions (thankfully), but he has taken almost total responsibility for the care of our finances and investments (especially college and retirement savings). So, while I read the chapter/prayer on praying for a spouse struggling with addiction, I have tabbed and re-read daily the chapter/prayer on praying that my spouse make wise financial decisions and lead our family in proper money management and tithing. I think that is something that I like about this book - while you may not find every chapter applicable to your life/your husband at this moment, there is a prayer for almost every situation/difficulty that you may face as a couple. Truly, this is not a book that you read once and then put down - it is a book that you pick up daily (or more often, as needed) to help you pray for the man God has given you. Each chapter also includes a prayer and scripture verses for further reflection.”

“Praying for a husband is an unselfish act and very humbling. I found this book very helpful in directing specific prayer on my husband's behalf. ”
