This is a fast paced book. The old saying "No rest for the wicked" comes to mind as this story of the Anitchrist, demon possession and end times is just that, the work of the wicked!

You will not be able to put this book down. It gives a very different, and enjoyabe slant on the end times according to the Book of Revelation compared to the Left Behind Series by LaHaye and Jenkins.

I liked the involvement of the demonic in this story. Yes it has parallels to Peretti's novels of This Present Darkness and Piercing The Darkness. Yes, like Peretti's novels, you side with the angels and barack for them, and boo the demons in their wickedness, deceit and hatred for God and His creation. This does not detract from the reality and importance of the demonic in this world.

I struggled with some of the methods Cash describes for the work of the angels and how the spiritual realm works. For example, if God is Omniscient (and He is!) then He would know of the saint's prayers straight away instead of these prayers reaching the Angels first via an Angelic Department called Central Prayer Agency, (CPA), being sorted and then forwarded, I presume, to God for His direction!

I also struggled with the Angels having "organs" as described in a battle with battle between one Angel and a Demon. But I took it at face value so as not to totally ruin my knowledge of the spiritual and that angels and demons are spiritual beings and not of the physical like us humans are made of. This was only mentioned once though so not much damage done!

Cash has the continuity of the plot going well flowing well. In a novel of this story complexity, there is a lot going on and the risk is for the plot to become disjointed. Not here though.

For a first novel, this is a great achievement. I do not know if there is a sequel or not. I am not sure if there needs to be, however, the books ends with the return of Jesus so a sequel could continue in this vein according to what is outlined in Revelation.

Highly Recommended only if you are interested in End Times fiction and need a different slant of this from the Left Behind series.
