“It is obvious that those who dissed this book do not know the authors intentions. He did not write it to show you his many disasters in dating. He wrote it to tell you what to do and not do on a date. His main point is that men and women are different. Men use their words for signals, but with women you have to look at the body language and mannerisms along with what she tells you. He gives an account about how while playing a volleyball game he asked a girl for her number. When he went out on a date with her she told him that she was on a dating sabatical. They continued on with the evening, and by interpreting the signs he made a move, and a couple weeks later they were dating. Now this is not a book about how to create long term relationships. It is a book about how to get your foot in the door o you can work your own way into a relationship.”

I'm in a "book club" so to speak, in which we study the social sciences and while "God" isn't exactly heavy on helping one improving their social skills, the book was never touted as such. What it does deliver on is funny, often times hilarious tales of a traveling comedian's dating disasters and the lessons he learns along the way.

“this is well written, with a lot of insightful ideas and thoughts on the subject. You should also read some of his ezine articles, they're terrific as well.”

The dating advice this book has is decent, although pretty basic (which in my opinion is all that matters but it just isn't that interesting to read). The value this book had to me was that the stories are pretty interesting but they aren't going to shock you unless you and your friends were hermits in college and have never heard slutty stories or anything like that. There's a guy called Max Tucker who has some more outrageous stories which you can get online- just google him.”
