“This is a young adult book, but I enjoyed it.
When I came across this title, I was curious - being a Sherlock Holmes fan - what an author might do to envision Holmes as a child, because of course, at some point he must have been one.
The author does a very good job at combining a clever and well-conceived plot, with introducing young Holmes, and offering a perspective on how some of the quirks and traits we all know so well in the man might have come to be created or developed. I won't say more to avoid spoilers, other than to say it was well done.
If you are a Sherlock Holmes fan, and open to innovative approaches to "new" stories about the character, I recommend this. A fast, easy and enjoyable read.”
