Gen's mom has signed her family up for frontier camp and she has no chice but to go. meanwhile the night before they leave Gen sneaks downstarirs at night and takes the phone that her mom promised to give her when they returned from frontier camp. once they reach frontier camp all their modern possesions are taken away but nobody notices the cell phone, she has to wear different clothes (those similar to clothes in the 1890's). Everything is hard for Gen at frontier camp and she cant wait to get home, at camp Gen has to deal with all the differnces and she is texting her friends about her experience at frontier camp.
