"Hiccup was skating down the mountain, dodging trees and skating so fast he could not. But the historiacs kept o following him.”pg 42 how to cheat a dragons curse. This paragraph in the book shows how much action there is in this book. If you like adventure, comedy and dragons you’re going to love this action packed book.
Set in the barbaric archipelago. This story tells the tale of chief Stoik the Vasts son Hiccup. Hiccup and his friends must find the vegetable that no one dares to name. In order to save his friend Fishlegs from the horrible dragons curse. The thing I like most about this book is that it merges comedy and adventure together to make a very worth while and interesting book to read. As well as that this, the book finishes its chapters with open ended questions to keep the reader interested, making me constantly wanting to read on.
Other books from Cressida Cowell include “how to speak dragonese”, “how to be a pirate” and their latest book “how to break a dragon’s heart”. Some definite, brilliant books, that you have to read!

How to cheat a dragons curse is another adventure story about Hiccup and Fishlegs by Cressida Cowell. In this story Fishlegs gets a deadly disease called Vorpentitis, and the cure is to find the vegetable-that-no-one-dares-name

“In How To Cheat A Dragon's Curse, Hiccup's best friend fishlegs has Vorpentitis, a deadly disease and Hiccup has to battle the dreaded Doomfang to get the only cure - a potato. This book, like all the others is really funny and the plot is very well constructed.”

If I enjoy the story and how it is written I don't care if the book is aimed at a child I just enjoy the read.”
