Winnie is excited to turn twelve, graduate elementary school, and move on to middle school. The things she’s not too excited about are all the changes that come with growing up. With her mom, her older sister, and two amazing friends, she is pretty sure she is going to be just fine. Over the summer, Winnie gets invited to go to a sleep away camp with Amanda, hangs out with Dinah and prepares herself for seventh grade. At her new school she meets a new friend, Cinnamon. Cinnamon’s parents named her that because they are very hippie-ish. She also develops a crush on an eighth grader named Lars who is in her French class. During the school year, Lars and Winnie become closer friends and they actually end up holding hands! Winnie’s life as a twelve year old is just fine.
