Spider Jerusalem's two headed Cat

A must have book for Muppet/Henson fans. Full of the Muppet performers memories of Jim, quotes, scripts pieces and poems, this can actually be enjoyed by all. Makes the Little book of calm seem miserable in comparison.

I thought this book was going to be full of inspirational quotes, but instead I found myself reading quotes about Jim Henson. I appriciated learning some facts about him, but overall I found this to be quite boring.

This is primarily a book of quotes. Quotes by or about Jim Henson, the puppeteer of The Muppet Show and Sesame Street fame. Includes some quotes and songs by some of his characters, as well.

For some reason, I thought this was a memoir. I am not a big fan of quotes, but given some of the memories, this was cute. Some nice, uplifting quotes included in this book. Hensen was a very optimistic man.

Not as insightful as I was hoping for. Still, an enjoyable read and I'm also considering buying a physical copy for my daughter to read as there are some inspirational quotes/stories that I think she would enjoy.

I didn't know much about Jim Henson until I read this book. He had ridiculous optimism and an appetite for discovery that everyone admired about him. This book reinforced the importance of hard work and innovation. We all need to follow our own path to success. What a great quote book!

11/11: Arlene sent me a copy!
03/11: Inspired to read this after visiting the Jim Henson exhibit at the Lakeview Museum in Peoria. It's filled with fun quotes.
JB: As it says on the back cover, "The words say, 'It's Not Easy Being Green,' but the song is about liking who you are, and not wanting to be someone else." Kermit says at the end of the song, "when green is all there is to be, it can make you wonder why. But why wonder? Why wonder? I'm green, and it'll do me fine. And I think it's what I want to be."

A feel-good book about Jim Henson, the creator of the Muppets. Even though I never really got into his shows, this book is one that I find myself reading every so often. Everyone should find the time to read this book.
