Educational therapist, Addie Cusimano, shares her findings on how to help students reach their full potential, how to drastically reduce the number of high school drop-out rate in the USA, and solutions for the No Child Left Behind Act goal. She discusses approaches that work best, the importance of teaching specific learning skills, and offers many valuable teaching techniques and strategies. Her findings are that LD children can be taught to learn just like any other child. This revised and expanded second edition offers two new valuable chapters, the teaching of foreign languages and mathematics with an update on reading. While it is geared to help learning disabled students, the techniques are applicable and valuable for all students. Her preface is that learning disabled students can and should be cured at the elementary level, and that the best approach for all students is one that incorporates more facets of learning than are presently taught. Ms. Cusimano's book offers a refreshing and assured method for the solution to academic concerns.
