• Gin Blanco: main cover ID for the retired assassin known as 'Spider'. Real name: Genevieve Snow. Owner of the Pork Pit and perpetual student at Ashland Community College. A Stone and Ice Elemental whose rune is the spider.
• Elliot Slater: security consultant with his own platoon of giant bodyguards. The number-one enforcer for Mab Monroe
• Bria Coolidge: Is an ice elemental. Donovan Caine's replacement in the Ashland Police Department.
• Finnegan Lane: nickname: Finn. Is an investment banker, computer expert, and all-around shady character. Son of Fletcher Lane. Foster brother of Gin, her closest confidant, best friend and her current handler.
• Owen Grayson: one of Ashland's wealthiest businessmen. A metal elemental. His personal and business rune is a hammer, the symbol for strength, power, and hard work.
• Mab Monroe: a Fire Elemental. The richest and most powerful woman in Ashland. Has the sunberst as her personal rune.
• Xavier: a bouncer at Northern Aggression who also does part time work as an Ashland City Policeman.Loved this book series!!
• Sophia Deveraux: the Goth dwarven cook of the Pork Pit. Also the Spider's to-go gal for disposal work. Younger sister to Jo-Jo.
• Jonah Mcallister: Ashland’s highest priced and most successful lawyer. A charismatic showman who could make the most violent, irredeemable, sociopathic criminal seem like an innocent schoolgirl—and make the jury weep with compassion while he did it. McAllister didn’t care whether people were guilty or not, as long as they could pay his astronomical fees. Jake Mcallister's father. Mab Monroe's attorney.
• Fletcher Lane: formerly the assassin known as the Tin Man, was the Spider's mentor, father-figure and agent. Previous owner of the Pork Pit. Died at a previous run to keep information on the whereabouts of the Spider.
• Donovan Caine: an honest Ashland city detective who transferred out of Ashland when he couldn't resolve his morality with Gin's. Gin Blanco's former love interest.
• Jake Mcallister: son of Jonah McAllister, killed by the Spider during one of Mab Monroe's parties.
• Tobias Dawson: one of the biggest mine operators in Ashland. A dwarf who is also connected to Mab Monroe. A strong stone elemental. Killed by the Spider under his own mineshaft after he threatened the Foxes of Ridgeline Hollow.
• Roslyn Phillips: a vampire. Previously a hooker, now the owner of Northern Aggression. One of Finn's women.
• Aannabella Snow: Genevieve Snow's older sister. An ice elemental whose rune was curling ivy representing elegance. Died seventeen years ago due to a fire that had killed the rest of the family.
• Phillip Kincaid: an Ashland underworld power player. Owner of the Delta Queen. Rumor had it that his father was a dwarf and his mother a giant.
• Eva Grayson: Owen Grayson's younger sister. A college student saved by Gin.
