  • David Allen Smith: Vice principal of Whitwell Middle School and co-director of the Holocaust Group, has been teaching for 11 years. He serves also as athletic director and head coach for the school's football, baseball, and track teams.
  • Dagmar Schroeder-Hildebrand: Born in 1943 in Germany, Dagmar is a psychologist. She was editor in chief of a magazine for parents of handicapped children. She also worked as a diplomatic correspondent in different parts of the world. She is the author of several biographies of Holocaust survivors.
  • Sandra Roberts: Co-director of the Holocaust group, is an eighth-grade teacher and the cheerleading coach at Whitwell, the school she attended herself. Sandra has taught all of the Holocaust classes.
  • Linda M. Hooper: Has been principal of Whitwell Middle School for 10 years and a public school teacher for 30 years.
  • Peter W. Schroeder: Born in 1942 in Germany, Peter is an economist. He worked as a diplomatic correspondent in Europe, Asia, Israel, and for the last 24 years in North America. His books deal mostly with German history, tolerance, the Holocaust and European-American relations.
  • Members of the Holocaust Group of Whitwell Middle School: The group started out with fifteen 8th graders.
