The Color of Trouble is about love, betrayal and hurt... Kari and Jonathan are a interracial couple who has a hard time being accepted by their family and peers. With the interference and betrayal of their parents, Kari and Jonathan loses trust in one another but their love never failed, even after seven years... by then Kari is engaged to Steven, an African American, and have set her mind like all the rest dealing with bigotry. She feels it is easier to marry Steven, the man her parents and peers approves of than marry the man she has always loved... I recommend you read this book to find out how Kari chose in the end. It is a great read.

I can't remember exactly what the story entailed, but - it wasn't the best, nor was it the worse I've read. I thought the ending was a bit schmulzy - but hey - I guess it's okay.
