“Good book for pastors and other church leaders; however, he should have made more use of charts and visual aids rather than trying to drag out the verbage. Concept is awesome, especially for church leaders needing to get a handle on the myriad of details that come their way each week. In essence, a book about a pastor who has recently discovered how to work in teams and plan ahead.”

Yes | No“This book is basically an outline of how the Dave Ferguson's Chicago based church does its planning for sermon series and marketing. After a few opening chapters on how they got started, Ferguson shifts gears by sharing the nuts and bolts of his system.
If you are planning to go multi-site, this could be for you. Personally, I think each congregation is different and messages should be prepared as such. That's not to knock this method..I rated the book three stars because I like their approach and planning ahead model. I'm just not sold on preparing the same message for different churches in different parts of the country.
Still, the method presented in this book may give you pause to look at your own way of planning for ministry and making some adjustments.”
