“I was on the wait list at the library for what seemed like 2 years after hearing the review on NPR. Of course the book came in when one of my close co-workers' was diagnosed with breast cancer. Still, I couldn't put the book down. I have been in healthcare for 30 years, but not cancer care, and this really takes you back through some of the treatments and our current expectations. The whole controversy with cigarettes was rather humorously treated in the book "Thank you for Not Smoking" so I was ready for THAT chapter. I am so glad I read this book; I feel more educated and less fearful of that word.... cancer. ”
