  • Clare: Clare is the series' protagonist. In the beginning of the series she is number 47 of the organization's 78th generation, making her the most low-ranked claymore. She is the first one to ever become a claymore willingly.Her goal is revenge against the awakened being Priscilla.
  • Miria: Miria is Claymore No. 6 of the 78th generation. Her great speed leaves after-images of herself in battle, confusing the opponent, thus earning herself the nickname, "Phantom Miria." She has long, pale blonde hair, styled in a razor-shag cut.
  • Raki: After his entire family is killed by a Yoma, Raki follows Clare and is eventually allowed to accompany her as her cook.
  • Deneve: Deneve is a defensive type Claymore, and thus sports powerful regenerative abilities. She has a rather calm and empathetic personality. Deneve is number 15 of the 78th generation.
  • Helen: Number 22 in Clare's generation, Helen's specialty is attacking her enemies with her stretching arms, giving her a surprisingly long range of attack, as well as the ability to constrict the enemy. Hot tempered and aggressive, Helen mocked Clare because of her rank when she joined the hunting party, but she eventually grew to respect her later on.
