If you're into a pirate-like tale, then this would be for you. Adventure on the sea and coasts of a post-apocalyptic world. Nailer has an abusive father, is a scavenger, poor, hungry, and trying to live to see another day. After a massive hurricane hits them, he finds a beached ship with riches galore. And then comes across the princess aboard the ship, who is still alive and worth tremendous amounts of money. Nailer then finds himself on a journey that takes him away from the only life he's ever known, hoping to create a new and better one.

Very well written and an excellent story, but overall I found it very dark. I felt the ending was wrapped up a bit too quickly for my taste. Personally, I've never really been able to get into stories set on wrecked ships, a "pirate-like" tale. But it's a book I will still recommend.
