Okaaay, while I haven't actually started reading this particular volume of DramaCon, I must say, the first two were great. I just finished the second one and can't wait to get my mitts on this one. The premise is simple: a girl named Christie, along with some friends, has been attending an anime convention for the past two years to have fun and sell her comic book, "Wary City". At these cons, she meets a famous manga artist who is chastized about her work because she is American, a cosplay master named Sandra, and Sandra's brother, the brooding Matt. Christie has served as the writer for two different artists (there were some issues with the first) and has had some conflicting relationships with Matt. This is more of a shojo thing than anything else, as should be apparent, due to the title, but it's one of the better ones. There are lots of fun characters and it really speaks to aspiring manga artists, writers, and editors about just what it's like to make manga for a living. I adore DramaCon just as much as any Japanese manga. I dare you to read it and not fall in love with the outrageous and fun cast of characters.

The author said that none of the characters are based on anyone, but I recognize so many personality types from the cons I attend that it made me feel nostalgic!
