- Kady: Jess's best friend. She and jess have a fight over a boy called jack.
- Jess: The story is written by her point of view. She and kady both like jack, and have a fight over him.
- Jack: Jess and Kady both like him. Jess realises he isnt so good, and wants to tell kady but they end up in a fight. He turns out to be a cheat and a liar.
- Karl: Many people think he isnt cool, but in the end he turns out to be a friend to Jess.
- Ellie: When Kady and Jess had their fight, Jess went around with Ellie. Ellie is nice.
