• Wayne Prentice is a fading author in a world that no longer values his work. Hes gone through two pseudonyms, watched his sales shrivel, and is contemplating leaving the writing life. Bryce Proctor has a multi-million-dollar contract for his next book, a trophy wife raking him over the coals of a protracted divorce, and an impending deadline with no new novel. He also has a proposition: if Wayne will give Bryce his unsold manuscript to publish under his own name, the two will split the advance 50/50. Theres just one small rider to the deal: Mrs. Proctor must die.
