Gotta snap my fingers for this one.”

Something for enthusiasts, newcomers into the legions of admirers or students of the movement. But also for seniors, like me for example, this things has good qualities to offer. What I like the best ist the extended horizon and vast orbit Ann Charters worked with choosing the participants. 650 pages Beat you can call giving a good glimpse, can't you?
P.S. 40 years ago I heard of the Beat Generation for the first time at all. Some guy I attended evening classes with lend me a rather thick torn up paperback, held together by some rubber bands already, telling me this would be his "bible". The book's title was "Beat Anthologie" and was a German translation of excerpts from the main works of all important writers of the BG.”
