This book is truly amazing!!! Firstly, I would like to commend Ms. Anita Pratap for her diligent and couragous work to reveal the truth in all the stories in the book. She uncovers the life and plight of peoples' in the war torn Sri Lanka, Afghanistan; the Hindhu-Muslim bloodshed in India during the early 90s; the natural calamity that befell on the peoples' of Bangladesh and Indian farmers; as well as the sufferings of little children in the South Asian countries. In just a few words, this book changed my perspective about life and appreciating the ordinary things in life, just as Ms. Pratap had felt in encoutering the events in the book.

This book depicts the real life of people in Shri Lanka and their fight with LTTE.
The way Anita Pratap has penned down her experiences are worth reading.

I think this is one of the best books I have read. I thought it was going to be a very serious and heartbreaking book. Heartbreaking it is, no doubt, but the way it is written is actually funny, interesting and even entertaining. Moreover it does not read like a news report.
