The Darwin Awards: Evolution in Action

Warning: The Darwin Awards are not for the tenderhearted. The vastly popular Web site, now a book, recognizes "individuals who ensure the long-term survival of our species by removing themselves from the gene pool in a sublimely idiotic fashion." Who wins a Darwin Award? Terrorists who set their bombs on daylight saving time and delivered them on standard time, blowing themselves up. Folks who... (read more)

Great book. You would really love it if you have a dark sense of humour. I am planning to read the other books of darwin awards as well.

Oh my God, the humanity! Laugh out loud funny, but depressing at the same time. Shows us how stupid the world can be.

All of the Darwin Awards books are a hoot! Wendy Northcutt, the creator of the award and the famous Website (www.darwinawards.com) has the most sardonic sense of humor--I love her. Though she takes her shots at intelligent design, the stories in these books (from #1 to now #4) will make you howl. Most Darwin Award winners are, of course, men.

A good bathroom book - this collection of morbid stories emphasizes the humourous and nonsensical ways that people die. Most of the accounts are confirmed, but nonetheless provide a pretty good lesson for how not to die.

A very funny book. A great way to see that people aren't as smart as they like to think they are.
