I LOVED these books - kinda voyeuristic - makes you feel a bit naughty for reading someone elses mail but somehow you just gotta!! But also mysterious and just totally fascinating - works of art each and every one

Delicious books. The illustrations are fantastic, and the stories just as good. Every book leaves you with a cliffhanger that forces you to grab the next one right away. Don't start if you don't have access to all of them, you'll go crazy!

This is actually part of a trilogy and I loved all 3! The book is interactive and as a reader you get to take letters out of envelopes, follow the correspondence of the 2 protagonists by their postcards and notes, and just get caught up in the book by being a voyeur of sorts into the life of these 2 people.

Fun to read--a pop-up-like book for (not-necessarily) grownups. The illustrations are weird, interesting, beautiful and/or delightful. Is Strohem (Sabine's surname) an anagram for smother or mothers? The conversations of G&S (they go together like Gilbert & Sullivan) salt the imagination. I highly recommend this book as a form of refreshment.

A totally intriguing set of beautiful letter between two strangers who are connected in ways they don't understand. I was hooked by the illustrations and the exchange of inquiries.

Does this really count as a book that I've read? It was an interesting concept ... two artists, one living on a small island in the Pacific and the other, an owner of card shop, correspond through letters and postcards that we are able to read. It took less than an hour to read.

Beautiful artwork and it's fun to pull out all the letters and read the story. Mysterious.

I read this book many years ago. I loved the pull out letters. Can't remember all of the story, however. I gave the book to a group of underprivileged girls hoping it would offer a different experience for them, bit of sunshine.
    I miss it.
