Don't think that this is a boring story - this novel is rich, and full of romance, humor and drama. ”

However, I felt that his depiction of some Christian ideas were a little too harsh and not entirely accurate. I saw the movie, but didn't really enjoy it. ”

“Maybe a bit too long! From when dinosaurs roamed until the mid-50s. Michener traces the missionary families that came from New England to establish a Christian society, as well as two founding families, one with roots in China, the other, from Japan, who affected the history of Hawaii.”
