Nice read about the author's experiences in Delhi. I liked his unique way of spiralling across Delhi, starting from CP. I wanted to know about contemporary Delhi, this book provided me an insight.
Well, the experiences Sam Miller had were at times not believable, but well, I don't know about Delhi's hidden corners. He talks about many pleasant and unpleasant experiences. The unpleasant ones tends to hurt Delhiite sentiments. Many a times there are quite humorous incidents that keeps the reading light and enjoyable. Overall I think the book portrays a very unbiased opinion on Delhi.

The book is written in a lighter vein.At the same time,it gives us a unique insight in Delhi's unfolding developments, contemporary lifestyle, people and connections to the past.In none of his tales of this megacity, has the author failed to appreciate the subtle human emotions. The book is hilarious, touching, informative all at the same time.

Worth a read for anyone with a strong interest in comtemporary Delhi. Well written from an outsider's perspective. Covers the nice and not so nice sides of Delhi

Very engrossing book, easy to read. One marvels at the author's ability to get around, and his ability to love this city in its present avtaar.
There are lots of hidden parts explored, which no delhi local would ever know about before reading this. And the author's enthusiasm is infectious, as is the simple humour.
But it is poorly edited in places, repititions crop up, and one would expect better quality pictures in a 500 rupee book (I don't mean that the pictures are bad, though they ould have been better, but they are poorly printed).

This is by far the best book on Delhi written in English. Written by someone who is truly in love with this ancient city.
