  • Dwight: An unusual sixth grader who has an origami Yoda finger puppet. Origami Yoda gives advice to people even though most people think the Dwight is not very smart or insightful. Dwight wears funny clothes, he is always getting into trouble, other kids tease him, and he likes to sit in holes in his back yard. A master of origami, Dwight makes an origami Yoda who can foretell the future . . . or can he? He also has a crush on caroline
  • Tommy: The narrator of the story. He is a regular kid trying to figure out school and life. He has known Dwight for a long time. He writes the book with his friends as an investigation of origami Yoda.
  • Kellen: Tommy's friend who adds drawings to the case file. He recieved help from Origami Yoda when his pants got wet in the bathroom.
  • Quavondo (a.k.a. Cheeto Hog): He received great advice from Origami Yoda that helped to save his reputation.
  • Harvey: Tommy's friend who is a 100% Origami Yoda naysayer. He frequently writes comments in the case file trying to prove that Origami Yoda isn't real and makes Darth Paper
  • Sara: The girl who caused Tommy to begin his Yoda quest. She adds her story to the case file as well.
