I will be honest, the only reason I read this book is because it was the shortest book on a list of books i had to pick from. But I was surprised to find that it was such a good book. "Origami Yoda" is a story about a strange boy who has an origami finger pup-it that seems to give magical advice that the strange boy "Dwight" cannot seem to give. A boy named Tommy tries to find out if Origami Yoda is really magical or not because he wants to no if a girl named Sara likes him. He attempts to figure this out but putting together a "case file" of stories written by those effected by Origami Yoda this was a very clever way to format a book. As far as the characters go, the book contained a cast of believable characters that remind me of kids I know. Another thing that i enjoyed about the book is that extra themes were snuck underneath the main theme. an example of this is bullying. Dwight is constantly being teased and picked on and he handles it in good realistic ways. The only thing that I didn't like was that it was obvious, SPOILER ALERT!, that origami Yoda was just Dwight seeking and finding acceptance while helping others along the way. And because these kids were so believable I was upset that they really believed he was really magical and the only skeptic, Harvey, was a total jerk. All and all i really enjoyed this book and I will give it 4/5 stars
