• Jessica: Jessica is 18 years of age. She recently lost mother, and is still dealing with the pain. She is the school newspaper editor. She tries to follow her moms principal of forgiving. And has a major crush for Derek the jock. She lves horses and helping her father on the horse ranch.
• Pietr: New kid at school Russian origin among other things.
• Amy: Bestfriend of Jessica - Amy tries to get Jessica to take care of herself and let others fend for themselves. She is quick with comebacks and has an on/off relationship with Marvin.
• Sarah: Best friend of Jessica's who was hurt in a terrible accident and doesn't remember anything about what happened.
• Max: Pietr's brother.
• Catherine: Pietr's twin sister.
• Alexis: Pietr, Max and Catherine's legal guardian.
• Annabelle Lee: Jessica's 14 year old sister, who always has her nose stuck in a book, and doesn't seem to have much of a social life.
• Derek: The guy Jessica has a crush on, who is the running back for the football team and is dating the cheerleader Jenny.
• Sophia: Friend of Jessica's has a secret she won't share about Derek -the Jock - (whom she used to date) also works on the school newspaper with Jessica.
• Wanda: An older woman who visits Jessica's father, and who Jessica believes is trying to win her fathers affections, even though her Mom only died recently.
• Jenny: One of the popular girls in high school and in Jessie's class. Jenny has eyes only for Derek, the quarter back and legend of the school. She has a mean streak. Was BFFs with Sarah before the accident that changed everything.
• Macie: Jenny's partner-in-popularity. Was friends with Sarah, but dropped her when they realised Sarah had no recollection of her two best friends.
• Harnek: One of Junctions High Schools Counsellors for Guidance. A friend of Jessie's.
• Stella: Outspoken girl, has the babit of butting in on private conversations, friends of Jessie.
