It took us back home to the very people that my husband grew up with. It was so like his family and so nostalgic for us. I can not say enough good about this book. This book, #1 in teh series was the first book we found and after reading it we wanted more of it. So we bagan reading it all over again until I found more books that went with it while searching Amazon one day. Then it was all we could do to wait until they arrived in our mailbox. I highly rececommend reading this story and savoring it to the very end because we did. ”

What a nice escape to visit this beautiful family. The book is all about hope, and it reminds you to "put it in God's hands". It takes place at the beginning of the depression. This book is also good to remember it never hurts to dream big. I am so glad there are 2 more books to visit the Wortham Family in. I totally pictured Shirley MacLaine as Miss Hazel!”
“I enjoyed this story of renewed faith and hope.”
