Regan (Re) has always been the responsible one, even though Liam is a year older. When she's a junior, the secret world she's resented for a long, long time is about to unravel. Liam's world. Liam is almost 18, almost ready to show the world Luna. Luna only comes out at night - when Liam becomes...

I enjoyed the quality of the characters and the story of transgenders through a teenagers point of view.

I actually didn’t finish this book because it got to the point where certain parts of it really annoyed me. I hated how sometimes Luna’s sister was really accepting and understanding while other times she was really selfish and rude. But I read this book because it was about a teenager who is transgender. There were some parts of the book that I could really relate to. The author could of been a bit better with pronouns and maybe could of done a bit more research. But the book wasn’t horrible. I liked it, but I didn’t like it enough to read the whole thing. I really liked how the author was talking about how much people judged someone for where they are on the gender scale and also how the author described how it felt to be born in the wrong body. She described that VERY well. I would say this was an okay book, but it could of been better.

This is such a complicated book to explain: Regan narrates her life, specifically focusing on her brother who is trying to understand how to deal with his gender identity. Not the best written book in the world but it's a book worth reading

Not my kind of book but interesting enough... I'm glad that Luna was able to be free at last.

This was a quite realistic view of how difficult transgendered people can have in life. EXCEPT that the transgendered person in this book has a LOT of money, enough to be able to fly away and immediately start on the reassignment surgery process. That part was not very realistic, but it's still a very good book for anyone confused, scared, and feeling alone.

Really good book. Deals with contemporary transgender issues. Not the typical protagonist "poor me" story, because the protagonist is the sister of the transgendered person showing how it affects other people and not just the individual dealing with an issue. Also about growing up and a cute love interest.

This book is soooooooo good! It's from the point of view of a girl who's brother is transsexual. The book is about them trying to get their parents to open their eyes and acknowledge that he's really a girl.

I started this one yesterday afternoon and ended up staying up past midnight to finish it. This was a good one. I felt so badly for both Luna and Regan. I liked how the author showed us Regan's love for her brother, but also her frustration with him. I'll definitely try and check out more from Peters.

Haven wanted me to read this. It is about a high school boy who feels he should have been born female. His struggles, and thoughts are detailed. He eventually starts dressing as a woman and is shunned by his family.

I think that this book really nailed it as far as realism goes. The story was told from the perspective of a teenage girl, and it gave the whole story a different perspective than if it were told by the other main character,Luna. It's very easy to sympathize for Luna/Liam,and Regan. This is a gripping story, one you hope has a happy ending and you'll really fall in love with the characters.I would especially recommend this book to anyone in the LGBTQ community, but it's really a great read for anyone.
