Characters/People edit see section history

  • Regan: The narrator of the story and Liam's younger sister. All her life she has struggled to keep Liam's secret and because of that she has slowly separated herself from society and friends. She has very low self esteem and considers herself a pale substitute for her brother on any given day. She loves her brother deeply and supports him but doesn't fully understand him.
  • Liam/Luna: Regan's older brother by two years. He feels that he is a girl trapped in a boys body and is just playing the 'role' of Liam the boy genius and athlete to please society and his father. Any slip ups or confessions he makes insinuating he is a girl is always chalked up to his sense of humor. He is constantly leaning on Regan for support and advice.
  • Aly: Liam's best friend since childhood. She is Regan's only friend despite the age difference. She plans to marry Liam and turns a blind eye to his girlish tendencies.
  • Chris: Regan's new chemistry partner and the only person in a long time to try to befriend her. He's new to the school, and despite already getting attention from the most popular girl in school, seems to be genuinely interested in Regan.
  • David: Add a description of this character.
  • Teri Lynn: A twenty-seven year old transgendered person who has successfully made the transition from one gender to another and gives seminars to help other transgendered youth.
  • Hoyt Doucet: High school bully who harrasses Liam/Luna at school constantly.
