This book is basically about a simple girl who wants to meet a superstar that she has idolized her whole life. And, then when she actually meets Michael Jackson - she is suprised that he saw her class picture in an abandoned store front and had been looking for her ever since. For years the entertainer had thought about her photo; so when he and the simple girl named Frankie Mae met on a crowded Santa Monica freeway, they were both ready for this long, secretive relationship that would last for decades.

While Michael's star rose higher and higher - his secret conquest refuses to leave her long-time job as a security guard and Michael respects her dearly for it. In attempts to make her life more comfortable - MJ does everything to lure Frankie Mae out of obscurity - but, she is an unwilling partner to the end. To her - the most important thing in the world is to simply love and keep love for a man that needed the anonymity that Frankie Mae refused to compromise.

Through trials, other women and a tumultuous relationship that got better over time - Frankie Mae lived the nightmares of Michael Jackson with class and dignity all the way to the end of his short lived life.
