• After the Hardy's friend Chet has his car stolen, $40,000 is missing from Tower Mansion. Soon a link is found between the money and the car. Will the Hardy's receive the $1000 reward for the returning the money, or will they be killed by the real thief? This book fullof suspense. At one point you think they have found the missing money, but it turns out to be just a bunch of flower bulbs. You want to keep reading to see if the next thing they dig up is the real treasure. At first you would expect some very interesting mystery situation from the beginning of the book, but all that is brought up is Chet's missing car. I even felt that I wanted to put the book down. I kept on reading though and shortly after that the mystery became a bigger and more dangerous one. You feel a mixture of anger and sorrow when the Hardys' friend's father is suspected of robbery.
