“It may have been a mistake to read The Road by Cormac McCarthy before
reading this play but in any case--I simply did not enjoy this.
The characters don't seem real or human to me. Yes, there is little or no reason for happiness
in the existence they find themselves in -- but during times of struggle, we as human beings can still
show compassion and believe in hope. There is little or none within the main characters.
It's bleak but meaningless.”
