- Samantha Green: A nice girl and pretty enough, but not so much as to cause a fuss. Her chief characteristic is that she worries all the time.
- Michael Green: Only seven but, in many ways, the most confident. He is a little on the tubby side because his favourite hobby is stealing food from the kitchen, then sitting and eating it under a bush in the garden.
