I am a huge fan of Cassandra Clare, which is strange because fantasy is not really a genre that I enjoy, but Clare is able to weave an action packed, emotional story that I cannot put down. The only negative to this book is that I read it too fast...the next book in the series isn't released until 2012.

I remember the first time that I opened up a Cassandra Clare book. I remember being sucked into the world of the shadowhunters, and falling in love with Jace, Clary, Simon, Alec, and Izzie. I remember the eagerness to find out what happened next, the pain whenever something bad happened...again, and the hope that the characters that I had come to love and adore would have a happy ending. I also remember how excited I was when I heard that Cassandra was going to continue their story by writing another three books, and how bummed I was that it was going to be so long before I got my hands on the next chapter of their lives. But now, I have read CITY OF FALLEN ANGELS and all I can say is that it was worth the wait!

My first thought when I found out there was going to be another book in The Mortal Instruments series was "Heck yea!" and my second was "How is this going to work?. Who is the story going to be about, it couldn't be Jace and Clary cause they had their happy ending. They are going to be happy together for the rest of their lives." I should have known better. And while the story isn't focusing only on Clary, there is still enough Jace and Clary to feed all our fangirly needs.

But I think one of things I love most about this book is how much you get to know the other characters, especially Simon. After the first three books I definitely wasn't a Simon fan...I really didn't care about him at all. But in CITY OF FALLEN ANGEL you see a completely different side of Simon, or maybe you are just getting to know him more. Either way I am a Simon fan now. I'm an even bigger Jace-Simon-Jordan. I loved the guys hanging out and all their banter.

While I don't want to give away anything about the book, I just want to say that any fan of THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS and Cassandra's style of writing will love this book. This book really is an amazing read that will leave you wanting more...too bad we have to wait another year for CITY OF LOST SOULS.

I don't quite know what to say. The cliff-hanger ending of course leaves me wanting more, but... I don't know. I really don't know quite what to describe what I'm feeling about the book right now.

What I can say is that even though it's all about Simon (who is by far my favorite character, and the fact that he got the spotlight in this book makes me thrilled to no end), I didn't like it quite as much as I liked City of Glass. I really am not sure why, but that's the truth. Something about this book didn't quite satisfy me.

So much happened in the end that my brain has now turned to a pile of mush - as it seems to whenever I read of of Cassandra Clare's books. Well, can't wait for City of Lost Souls!

Yet another wonderful page-turner from Cassandra Clare. I enjoyed seeing things through Simon's eyes and the focus on Clary and Jace's relationship more as well. The follow through from the third novel was smooth and the time that had passed was made clear. I hope to see more of Alec and Magnus in the final two books. It's great reading it knowing all about the characters that feature in the ID series too!

Better than two of the books before. I really like how Clare put it into different P.O.V.s
