Mark Pilgrim is very thorough in his explanations of what is new in HTML5 and exactly how it works. The book is very detailed, with plenty of diagrams and links / references. The author's tone is formal yet playful when talking about larger ideas. The tone gets more technical when Mark dives into the details.
I'm a web designer; for me the book was a little on the technical side. But this book is a great reference for all questions dealing with HTML5.”
