  • Halt: A seasoned member of the Ranger Corps and one of the best. Former master to Will Treaty and Gilan. He is a trusted advisor to the King of Araluen and Crowley, the Corps Commandant. He, Will and Horace are members of a special team who, when called upon, would go out and solve big problems inside and out of the kingdom. He is also the rightful king of Clonmel, but fled to Araulen after his brother attempted to murder him multiple times. He joined the Rangers and never talked about his birthright. He married Lady Pauline finally.
  • Will: Will was an orphan who was brought as a baby to Redmont Castle to be raised. Once he was old enough to be apprenticed, he was accepted as a Ranger taught by Halt. His extreme bravery and skills as a Ranger prove to be a huge help to the kingdom. When he was accepted into the Ranger Corps he received the last name Treaty since many of the things he has done which involved making treaties. He, Halt and Horace are members of a special team who, when called upon, would go out and solve big problems inside and out of the kingdom.
  • Horace: A natural fighter and one of the best knights in Araulen. As best friend to Will he has gone on many of the adventures with the Ranger, becoming a vital part of the survival of the kingdom. He defeated Morgarath in single combat as a first year Battleschool apprentice and has traveled under many aliases, Horace of the Order of the Oak Leaf and the Sunrise Warrior. He, Halt and Will are members of a special team who, when called upon, would go out and solve big problems inside and out of the kingdom.
  • Tennyson: A cult leader who has started a new religion where people have to give up there gold to serve their "god".
  • Malcolm: The sorcerer/healer who assists Will and Halt.
  • Bacari: Trained Genosovian, who is proffesional with a crossbow and poisons.
  • Lady Pauline: Halt's wife, and Alyss' craftmaster
  • Alyss: Will's girlfriend. Taught to be a courier
  • Abelard: Halt's trusty Ranger Horse. A small, shaggy but very fast and reliable pony.
  • Black O'Mallet: A smuggler.
  • Crowley: Head of the kingdom's Ranger force.
  • Gilan: Halt's previous apprentice. A master of unseen movement.
