Destiny’s Faces is a completed, edited, ready-to-publish, 300-page literary fiction with strong commercial and screen-play appeal.
In Destiny’s Faces, we first meet a striking foreigner in the person of Aburion. He is care-free, charming and handsome, and has a weakness for women. Women in turn, cannot resist Aburion. Unfortunately, because of his inability to say ‘no’ to women, he suffers tragic loss that is irreplaceable and this turns him into a broken man. And as if his life is not complicated enough, he has Yemisi for a mother. Yemisi who will use the power of a mother over her son to make sure her only son does not get involve with the ‘wrong’ woman.
Then there’s Tristan who suffers the wrath of a woman scorned in order to learn the truth about himself. Tristan is tall, handsome and successful. Every woman wants him and every man wants to be him but no one is as determined as Jamie Sand to have him. She pursues him with shameless zeal until she has his ring on her finger. Unfortunately, it is after Tristan marries Jamie that his carefully constructed world falls apart.
At about the same time, in another part of the world, Kelly encounters Daniel. Their union opens them to a whole new experience…and a trail of unhappy people including their best friend, Dave, who has pined for Kelly for years. When Dave finally realizes that there will never be any chance of a relationship with Kelly, he takes matters into his own hand on her wedding day by heinously raping her. Daniel and Kelly’s destinies are tragically sealed by that act as Daniel makes the ultimate sacrifice in honor of his true love while Kelly reacts by hiding behind a cloak of memory loss.
On the other hand, Kelly’s parents, Drs. John and Taylor Dawson see what happened to their daughter as the perfect opportunity to pressure her into marriage with a certain Dr. Gregory Krebb, the part-owner of the hugely successfully Krebb-Anderson medical center. After their wedding, Greg tries to turn Kelly into the wife he wants her to become; beautiful, brainless and submissive. As a result, Kelly’s marriage to Dr. Krebb is perfect as long as he is in control.
Destiny’s Faces also introduces us to other interesting characters such as Chance Lezard, a woman with a beautiful heart and a poetic voice, and Prima, who is cool, calm and collected in the face of life’s challenges. As these people go about the business of life, we see how they react to each other when their worlds collide. Destiny’s Faces tell us just how far each of these characters will go to change the path they believe has been destined for them, and just how they see destiny in each other’s faces. Destiny’s Faces has been written in an exciting page-turning style that will leave readers wanting more after the last page has been read. I am sure it will be thoroughly enjoyed by avid readers of fiction and true believers of trials, tribulations and happy endings.
